Gave a health system's public websites one CMS and one component library
Over two and a half years as a consulting engineer at Banner Health, Lucas helped implement the content management system behind the health system's public-facing websites and built a primitives library those sites shared, all to WCAG accessibility requirements.

The challenge
A large health system ran several public-facing websites that had to work on any device, meet WCAG accessibility requirements, and look like one organization, with content owned by non-technical teams and no shared frontend layer between the sites.
Approach
- Helped implement the content management system that non-technical teams used to run the public websites
- Developed a primitives library that several public-facing sites shared, so accessibility and visual consistency were solved once
- Consulted on responsive web applications with usability, accessibility, and consistent design as the primary requirements, meeting WCAG requirements on delivery
- Provided frontend architecture guidance and fostered collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders so design decisions were made once and stayed made
